CONTRACTS & INFORMATION
How new and used car extended
warranties work:
1. How can you offer such complete
auto repair warranty coverage at such an affordable
price?
We are able to offer comprehensive new and used car
extended warranties, as well as extended SUV warranty
and truck warranty coverage at such an affordable price
for several reasons:
• We work directly for the warranty
companies. We do not offer new and used car extended
warranties or extended SUV warranty and truck warranty
plans through automobile dealerships or any other
3 party that would require adding a large commission
to your contract.
• High volume business and economies of scale
of a large company like ours allow us to offer you
lower prices.
• Doing business online via e-commerce and the
Internet lowers our expenses compared to companies
that maintain multiple physical storefronts.
• We pass all these savings on to you!

 |
2. What is the procedure if I need to file a claim on
my new or used car extended warranty?
Getting repaired and back on the road is so simple.
If your vehicle breaks down or is in need of a repair,
take it or have it towed to any licensed repair facility
and present your extended car warranty service agreement
to the Service Department. After they diagnose the problem
with the vehicle, they will call our claims administrator
toll-free for authorization for your covered repairs
less a deductible where applicable. Our administrator
pays all covered claims directly to the repair facility
of your choice with a check, therefore, you do not have
to pay for your repair and wait to get reimbursed. It
is that simple. Repair facilities are paid quickly and
efficiently over the phone via corporate credit card.
 |
 |
3. Where are the contracts for new and used car extended
warranties honored?
You’re able to use your warranty at any licensed
repair facility that agrees to work on your vehicle,
and agrees to be paid by credit card.. You have the
option of taking your vehicle to your dealership or
any ASE certified repair facility nationwide. Additionally,
your new and used car extended warranty plan is accepted
at national repair facilities such as Pep Boys, Firestone,
AAMCO, and All Tune and Lube as well many others.
 |
 |
4. Do I have to go back to my original dealer for repairs
under my new or used car extended warranty, or extended
SUV warranty or truck warranty?
It's 100% your decision! Take your vehicle to your original
dealer, another dealer or an approved national repair
facility. With all of our nationwide auto repair warranties
plans that we offer, your choices are endless. You can
take your vehicle to the licensed repair facility that
makes you most comfortable. This includes, but is not
limited to, your original dealer, your favorite repair
facility, or any national repair facilities such as:
Cottman, Pep Boys, Firestone, and Good Year.
 |
 |
5. What happens if my dealer does not want to accept
the nationwide new and used car extended warranty plan?
Most Dealerships appreciate our business. They have
no reason not to accept the new and used car extended
warranty, extended SUV warranty or truck warranty policies
offered by us. Our administrator pays the recommended
price for parts and labor for all covered repairs. The
industry standard-pricing guides used by your dealership
determine the cost of the repair: the Chilton and Mitchell
parts and labor guides. Plus, the administrators pay
all claims directly to the repair facility of your choice
when the repair order is faxed to the administrator.
And then your claim quickly and efficiently over the
phone via corporate credit card.
 |
 |
6. How can I be assured that my new and used car extended
warranty claims will be paid in the future?
All extended warranties that we offer are directly insured,
and the administrators maintain a future claims reserve
for all policies to covered repair costs. A percentage
of premiums paid by all new and used car extended warranty
contract holders are deposited into an account that
is used strictly to pay future claims.
7. Can you please explain how the deductible on the
new and used car extended warranties, as well as the
SUV extended warranties and truck warranties work?
In may cases, the standard deductible is $100, with
options to reduce it. The deductible is the amount that
the customer is responsible to pay to the repair facility.
The deductible is per visit, not per separate repair.
8. Are you the American Automobile Association (AAA)?
No, we are in no way affiliated with the American Automobile
Association. You can reach them at 1-800-763-9900. AAA
is a term often used as a rating reference for the highest
credit rating (ie Standard & Poor’s, Moody
and Fitch) and our company name is derived from that.
 |
 |
9. When does my new and used car extended warranty or
extended SUV warranty and truck warranty begin and expire?
Immediate Coverage:
Unlike our competition, AAautoWarranty.com does not
require a vehicle inspection on vehicles still under
factory warranty or the typical 30-day and 1,000-mile
waiting period before coverage begins. Most used vehicles
are required to pass a mechanical inspection before
purchasing a warranty. Your coverage begins on the warranty's
purchase date, not the Vehicle's "in-service"
date. However, pre-existing conditions are not covered
by anyone's policy - regardless of where or when it
is purchased.
Some of our used extended car warranty begins 30 days
and 1,000 miles from the date of enrollment. (Call us
for details)
Expiration dates vary by the new or used car extended
warranty plan and coverage you select.
* Beware of other companies and dealer programs
that begin their new and used car extended warranties
and extended SUV warranties and truck warranties programs
on your vehicle's in-service date.*

 |

programs offered by AA AutoWarranty.com?

 |
12. What is true bumper-to-bumper coverage?
True bumper-to-bumper coverage is always ‘exclusionary’
coverage. This means that everything on a vehicle is
covered excluding certain items such as maintenance,
trim items like moldings, weather-stripping, etc. However,
in recent years, some warranty companies have begun
using the term “bumper-to-bumper” much more
liberally in an effort to apparently give consumers
the impression that they are receiving more coverage
than they actually are. You will be happy to know that
AAAautoWarranty.com does not use the term in that fashion.
Our Max or “Bumper to Bumper” plans are
true exclusionary coverage and is most like your vehicle’s
original bumper-to-bumper warranty.

You may also select a $200.00 deductible option on certain
plans if you would like additional savings when you
purchase your service agreement.
14. What do I do when I experience a problem with my

22. What is Wear and Tear coverage?
Wear and Tear coverage means that parts do not have
to break for you to be covered. Should a part or component
wear out prematurely it is covered. Wear is defined
as “can no longer perform the function for which
it was designed solely because of its condition".
When the part or component has worn beyond the manufacturer's
tolerances allowed for a particular vehicle at the mileage
when the problem occurs the part or component is covered.
Parts that are considered “normal maintenance”
parts are not covered under a Wear and Tear option.
These would be items like brake pads, shoes, drums or
rotors, and manual clutches.
 |
 |
23. Will a warranty pay for a problem that the vehicle
has when I get the warranty?
Extended warranties are not meant to cover problems
that exist with a vehicle at the time the warranty is
obtained. Such problems are called “pre-existing”
conditions, and warranty companies do not approve claims
for them. Whether a problem is a pre-existing condition
is determined by the repair facility or the warranty
company.
